"The hair is inspired mainly by photographs of Penelope Tree that Richard Avedon took. We tamed it down a little bit, but it's still very reminiscent of sixties hairdos: teased in the back, with this black band in the front to have a clean face. The clothes have a lot of volume in the bottom, so Alberta wanted something that created volume and balanced out the skirts."
