Photography Contest Official Rules

June 12 through June 26, 2005
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited.

1. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to all legal male and female residents of the 50 United States who are between the ages of 18 and older as of June 12th 2005. Photographers only, others will be disqualified.
Only one entry per person is authorized. In the event of a second entry from the same contestant, only the first entry received will be eligible.
You must be a registered user of NeedAHosting, all registration information must be valid and accurate
Only original work may be submitted. Models and any other recognizable person(s) seen in the photograph must have agreed to authorize the photographer to extend commercial use of the image. Photographer may be asked to provide a model release if required.

2. CONTEST PERIOD
Contest period begins on June 12, 2005 at 9 AM U.S. Pacific Standard Time (PST) and ends on June 26, 2005 at 5 PM PST. NeedAHosting reserves the right to terminate the contest by giving notice deemed appropriate by needahosting.com during the first day of any week during the length of the contest, in which case the contest will terminate on the last day of the week during which the termination was announced.

3. ENTRY
Individuals can only apply online. To enter, submit your best 5 photos in JPG, GIF, or PNG format with resolution at least 800 x 600 at http://hollywood.needahosting.com/photocontest.php. No group shots will be considered. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or otherwise not in compliance with these official rules will be disqualified.

No entry fee is required and no purchase is necessary to enter or win the contest.

4. WINNERS SELECTION
All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Entries will be judged by needahosting.com's manager department to determine one (1) grand prize winner and ten (10) finalists. The grand prize includes an Advanced Portfolio flash website (www.YourName.com) * for an entire year. As part of the grand prize, the selected grand prize winner’s winning picture and/or the portfolio will feature at the NeedAHosting homepage as well as the template page. The finalists will receive a Plus Portfolio and each runner up will receive a Basic Portfolio for an entire year.
Photographs will be judged according to the following criteria:
Technical Merit--sharpness of focus, depth of field, color balance and composition of photograph.
General Appeal--photo should impress the viewer and spark the imagination.
Photos of models, actors, or persons are recommended but not necessary to be considered.

Participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final. The grand-prize winner will be announced on NeedAHosting.com

5. Notifications of Winners
The 10 finalists will be announced on the NeedAHosting Contest page approximately one week after the contest is ended. The winners will have 48 hours to contact NeedAHosting at contest@needahosting.com to confirm their name and e-mail in order to claim their prizes. In addition, the top 10 finalists must include an immediate contact information such as home or mobile phones in order for NeedAHosting to contact the grand prize winner.
After the grand prize winner received the notification from NeedAHosting, he or she should supply all photos, resume, …, and all the information needed for the website design within 7 days of notification or until the day before the next contest started.
If the grand prize winner, finalist, or a runner-up fails to reply within the time indicated, the next runner-up will automatically replace the title.

5. PRIZES
The grand prize includes an Advanced Portfolio flash website (www.YourName.com) * for an entire year (either Models or Actors/Actresses package) plus reel and photo editing. As part of the grand prize, the selected grand prize winner’s winning picture and/or the portfolio will feature at the NeedAHosting homepage as well as the template page. The finalists will receive a Plus Portfolio and each runner up will receive a Basic Portfolio for an entire year. Please refer to the prize listing page for details. ** The winning photos of each finalist will be displayed on the Contest page during the announcing period. The names of the runner-up winner will be announced in the Message Forum. There will be no substitution of prizes by prizewinner. Prizes may not be redeemed for cash value. Prizes are nontransferable.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY; RIGHTS OF USE; MISCELLANEOUS
needahosting.com and those working for needahosting.com or on the behalf of needahosting.com, will not be responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or postage due mail or e-mail and for Internet, computer hardware and software, phone, and other technical errors, malfunctions, and delays. By submitting, entrants agree to release the photographs. Entries and other submitted material become the property of needahosting.com and will not be acknowledged or returned. In the event of a dispute concerning who submitted an e-mail entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account from which the entry is made.
needahosting.com reserves its right in its sole discretion to modify or cancel all or any portions of the Contest because of technical errors or malfunctions, viruses, hackers, or for other reasons that corrupt the Contest in any manner. needahosting.com also reserve the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who fails to comply with these Official Rules, who attempts to enter the Contest in any manner or through any means other than as described in these Official Rules, or who attempts to disrupt the Contest or to circumvent any of these Official Rules.

By entering, entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges and these Official Rules and to comply with all federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations.
